You are having trouble with hearing the person on the other side of a call or they are having trouble hearing you.

  1. Verify that the Mute button is not lit up. If it is, press it to deactivate muting and try again.
  2. Verify the the Headset button is not lit up. If it is, press it to deactivate the headset jack.
  3. Make sure it is not a bad call connection, make multiple calls to different callers.
  4. Place a call with the speakerphone. If you are able to place talk normally, then the issue is likely the handset or cord (the curly one).
  5. Try swapping the handset with one that you know works. If it works normally with the new handset, then you will need a replacement.
  6. Try swapping the curly handset cord for one that you know works. Make another call.
  7. Make sure that the cord is plugged into the port on the back of the phone that has the handset icon above it.
  8. Reboot the phone by holding the X key, located under the arrow keys, until you see a message on the screen asking if you would like to reboot. Press OK and the phone will reboot. Make another test call. If this doesn't fix this, reply to the original ticket or call 919-268-4900.
